Our Team
Jessica Wuchterl
Owner & Chief Visionary Officer
As Owner and Chief Visionary Officer, Jessica helped shape Root & Rise from the ground up. She leads with clarity, intention, and a strong commitment to culture, guiding the company’s long-term vision and growth.
She lives on a historic farm in Crestwood, Kentucky, where her love of animals, nature, and intentional living continues to influence her leadership and the values behind the brand.
Lisa Stephens
CEO
Lisa, President of the organization, brings 30+ years of experience in finance, strategy, and operations. She leads growth and performance with a focus on clarity, accountability, and operational excellence.
She previously served as President and CEO of Johns Dental Laboratories, guiding a successful financial turnaround and global expansion. Lisa holds an MBA and a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Louisville.
Kyle Wuchterl
Owner & VP of Brand Strategy
Kyle drives business development with a blend of energy, grit, and authentic relationship-building. He combines industry knowledge with strong communication skills to help clients understand their options and choose the right solutions.
He excels in fast-paced settings and has a natural ability to connect — from leading workshops to supporting clients through important project decisions.
Rory Pope
Sales Manager
A founding member of the Root & Rise division, Rory helped shape the team’s vision, culture, and long-term direction. He is a licensed Civil Engineer with 15+ years in commercial construction and a proven sales leader, generating over $15 million in flooring revenue in just 18 months.
A Kentucky native, Rory is a dedicated husband and father of four who enjoys travel, the outdoors, and the occasional attempt at surfing.

The Idea
Root & Rise was founded from an idea developed by Rory Pope and his brother, with the goal of bringing a fresh, modern, and quality-driven customer experience to the flooring industry.
Bringing It to Life
That vision took shape when Rory met with Jessica and Kyle Wutcherl of Xtreme. Through early conversations and shared values, the concept transformed into reality, supported by the experience and collaboration of an established flooring organization.
